2026 Echigo Country Trail – Event Announcement
Earlier this week, Oguni in Nagaoka City was lightly covered in snow.
Although it’s still only November, the photo already hints at the arrival of winter.
It was a slightly dim morning, but from this moment, preparations for Echigo Country Trail 2026 officially began!

We are pleased to announce the dates for Echigo Country Trail 2026!
Once again, we aim to create a warm, community-driven event that reflects the unique spirit of Oguni.

■ 2026 Event Theme
Shine Bright, Trail Community!
This theme expresses our wish for everyone involved in the trail—runners, staff, and volunteers—to be the stars of the event.
On race day, we hope each person taking part or supporting the event will shine brightly and fill the course with smiles.
With this in mind, our committee is steadily moving forward with preparations.
■ Finish Area Food Service (“Takidashi”)
We will once again offer warm food at the finish area, prepared by local residents!
At the 2025 event, curry and tonjiru (pork miso soup) were served free of charge and were very well received.
For 2026, we are preparing once again to share the comforting local flavors of Oguni with all participants.
※ We plan to prepare a sufficient amount, but please understand that we may run out.
