Course Check

Last week, we had good weather continuing in Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture. Over the weekend, the cherry blossoms were in full bloom, and many people were enjoying hanami (cherry blossom viewing) at popular cherry blossom viewing spots. Seeing so many people made me feel like “Maybe the pandemic is over.”

Now, there are only two months left until the Echigo Country Trail 2024. This weekend, we conducted a course check. Despite the relatively low snowfall this year, there were fallen trees scattered around, and the edges of the roads were slightly eroded.

Despite the summer-like warmth, it was still too early for lush greenery along the trail, and there were hardly any shaded spots from trees. The grass along the path had not grown much, resulting in a clear trail.

The registration for the Echigo Country Trail 2024 will be open until May 24th (Friday).

For this event, shuttle buses will be available on the day before and the day of the event. Registration is open until May 31st.
