Hello from the Echigo Country Trail team!

Our big day is almost here — the race is happening this Sunday, June 15!
Today, we have two fun and important announcements for everyone taking part.

📸 Look out for our official photographers!

Once again this year, our photographers will be out on the course capturing all the unforgettable moments of the Echigo Country Trail.

Here’s how to spot them:
🔸 A silver bib (vest)
🔸 An armband that says “撮影” (Photography)

The armband might be around the arm or hanging from the neck, so it could be a little hard to see. But even if it rains (though we’re hoping hard for clear skies! ☀️), our photographers will be wearing the bib on top of their rain gear — so they’ll be easy to find!

If you’re happy to help promote the Echigo Country Trail, we’d love it if you smile, wave, or run by proudly when you see our camera crew.
✨ Happy faces, serious expressions, intense trail running action — we welcome it all!

🍛 The goal aid station = a mini food village!? 🎉

At the finish area, we’ll be serving up a hearty selection of local dishes to reward your efforts!

🍚 Freshly cooked Oguni-grown Koshihikari rice
🍛 Japanese curry
🥣 Tonjiru (pork & veggie miso soup)
🐗 Wild boar soup – a regional specialty!

This feast is not just for runners — everyone is welcome!
That includes family and friends who came to cheer, volunteers, and even those who just stopped by to watch.

With love and gratitude, we’re preparing warm, delicious meals to fill both your stomach and your heart. 🍴

Just a few more days to go!
Take care, finish up your preparations, and get ready to enjoy the big day to the fullest!
