Entries for Echigo Country Trail 2026 officially closed on Friday, May 23. Thank you very much for all the entries.
All of us on the organizing team sincerely appreciate your support.
This year, we received:
- 229 entries for the 63km race
- 193 entries for the 22km race
- 219 entries for the 2.5km race
for a total of 641 participants.
Runners will be coming from 25 prefectures across Japan, as well as from 10 countries and regions around the world!
Oguni is a small town in Nagaoka City, Niigata Prefecture, with a population of around 4,000 people. To think that people will come here not only from across Japan, but from around the world, fills us with both surprise and gratitude.
To be honest, there may still be things we could improve.
However, together with local residents, volunteers, and the organizing team, we are doing our very best to prepare for the event so that everyone feels glad they came.
If you were planning to come just to cheer for the runners, but decide you would like to join after all, same-day registration for the 22km and 2.5km races will be available.
We are truly looking forward to welcoming all of you on race day.
